From the supplier: School crises can be managed effectively provided the school takes a proactive stance and develops a crisis response plan which should be practiced accordingly. It is imperative that the school knows which key figures in the community to inform in case of an actual crisis, how to inform parents or guardians of the victims and how to deal with the media which means knowing what facts to convey and to conceal. 'No comment' is the least advisable comment since it is bound to stir misinformation. Staff and students should also be duly informed of the facts.
