This is not an easy job because they must ensure that the information received by news sources is factual and properly managed. Otherwise, the information could be misinterpreted by the media and eventually harm the company's reputation. Security personnel can avoid or at least minimize the risk of bad press by adopting a well-planned communications strategy.
